 My work has constantly developed over 40 years as an artist, evolving from clay statuettes to imposing figures in bronze, marble and serpentine. For a brief period in the 1980’s I worked in resin and cast stone. Today, my focus is on ceramic sculpture and original acrylic based paintings. I have consistently portrayed figurative power in recurring studies of the human figure, using a personal mythology of characters. In recent years, my subjects have become symbols of my deep concern for the environment and the state of mankind. Art can deliver a powerful message, but it can also be playful and thought provoking. Humour has always been a settle characteristic in some of my paintings and sculptures.
