  • Artist Statement

    Nature can touch the human spirit on an emotional level and make one pause and wonder.

     

    Occasionally when I'm out in nature and I experience an awesome sunset, the twinkling light off the lake or one of the many humbling vistas, it makes me stop and say,

     'WOW!, That's beautiful'. Nature has the power to do that.

     

    In my recent paintings I aim to capture an emotional realism. Recreating the feeling you get when you are out in the woods or at the lake. Capturing something familiar, that make you say; I recognise that place.
